FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question:
I found a machine from another dealer that is a little less in cost than yours but the dealer says "it is being sold parts complete and not shopped out".  What exactly does that mean and why are your machines any different.

Answer:
A part's complete machine is one that came straight from a casino's warehouse.  It has not been powered on, inspected, cleaned, and checked for operation.  In addition, the player tracking system has not been removed from the machine.  Basically what you buy with a machine being sold "parts complete" in a pile of aggravation  and trouble ahead as it is very likely the machine will not work properly when you turn it on for the first time.

Your biggest problem is that a machine straight from the casino has not been "cleared" to remove all the server and player tracking information from the computer board inside the machine.  When powered on, it will look for the casinos server and if not found will not operate.  If you do not have the proper clear chips, have the tools to remove computer chips, and do not have the ability to go through a machines complex setup procedure....you are out of luck.

From there things can really go downhill.  Often times the bill validator may not work or it's software has not been updated, buttons do not work, bulbs are out, reels may not work, printer's, hopper's, coin comparator's, and so on.  Finally, if you have never seen the inside of a slot machine when it straight from a casino before, you are in for a real treat as it is usually caked with dirt and dust in side...pure filth.  A real headache for most people, you need to go find replacement parts, and suddenly that "great deal" is not looking so good any more.

Question:
Someone told me once that it is best to leave my slot machine turned on at all times.  I have always just turned it on and off whenever I wanted to play it.  Is this true?  I feel like I am wasting energy and money.

Answer:
Slot machines are designed for use in casinos, which means 24-hour operation and turned on at all times.  By turning your machine off, you are hurting yourself in two ways:

One, there is a lithium battery on the machines main processor board that is used when the power is turned off in a casino, like a power outage during a storm, that stores on the boards memory certain critical information.  When you power the machine off you are forcing it to draw on the batteries power much more than it should.  The issue here is that the battery is not easy to change out and requires you to be able to weld a new battery on the board.  The other problem is that after a battery change, you are required to "ram clear" the machine and go through a systems setup procedure.  If you do not have the proper clear chips, have the tools to remove computer chips, able to weld on a new battery, and have the ability to go through a machines complex setup procedure....you will have some headaches and expense ahead for sure.

Two, by turning the machine on and off you are putting stress on the machines main power supply and significantly reducing it's life span.  A power supply replacement is costly and requires some technical abilities to do this.

Consider the fact that most machines only have a few fluorescent bulbs, and small fan, and a computer processor board.  In truth, they draw very little power.  Although I have never done the math, I would be very surprised if a machine cost more than $5 to $10 a month to leave on at all times.  Also consider for a moment other appliances that you leave on all the time or run often like a refrigerator, a clothes dryer, or your furnace.  For sure, the power required to run those often uses a significant amount of more power than any slot machine.

Our advice....buy a good surge suppressor, plug your machine in, turn it on, and leave it on!!!
