Surprising to most, I am actually an Architect by trade, still running my own successful business today, and have so since 1991. I took an interest in slot machines like most as a hobby, a fun toy, a conversation piece, and really as a method of therapy to relax and forget about the stressful week. There is something really tranquil about sitting in front of the machine, seeing the lights, the music, and every so often having the excitement of hitting a big jackpot on the machine. And now for me today, I find a certain relaxation from simply repairing and
refurbishing them.
I have a real love for these machines and as a result I spend significant amounts of time cleaning and improving them as best I can. Also as a result, I am really not in the business of making much of a profit. It's really difficult in today's society to explain to someone that you spent 12 hours replacing parts, cleaning the interiors, polishing the chrome, and so on and then asking them to put a value on the time for that. This probably makes me less competitive than other companies out there. To me, seeing the joy on someone's face and hearing a simple "thank you" is payment enough.
Over the years I have discovered that I had the unique ability to enhance, repair, and refurbish these great machines. In fact, I will never forget a trip to Las Vegas several years back when I was playing in a casino and sitting a few machines down from me was a player having trouble with a machine. Soon after came a host followed by a technician to assist the player. After five minutes of watching them struggle with no success, since I knew what the problem was and how to fix it, I leaned over to the technician and offered some direction. Of course they were set back at first as no casino wants their players to have knowledge of the real intricacies of how a machine works. But, I just went ahead anyway and rattled off the solution to the problem. Within seconds it was up and running. It was nice to see the joy on their faces and the host even rewarded me with a free buffet pass. From that day on I was hooked.
Today I have refurbished and resold many machines. Not only that, over the years I have learned the hard way of where and how to buy machines that are suitable for refurbishing. There are many resellers available to you, some are good companies, but equally I have found there are many selling you "problems" down the road. Every machine that I resell I have personally handpicked for quality from casino wholesalers and know ahead of time exactly what time and cost in parts are needed to make the machine as nice as possible.
I really hope you enjoy my web site and feel free to contact me if you need any more information.
